Joke Time
With my new job at the Westwood Club's Summer Day Camp comes hot, fresh material for super-humorous blogs. Here's a little foretaste of what I hope will be a long stretch of stories about kids.
Yesterday we had joke time, a small part of the day designated to letting kids share some of their favorite jokes (or to let them quick make one up). Here are two of my favorites.
Arshia, a small, fearless Persian boy told the following: "Why did the cheetah cross the road? Why, Arshia!? So he could go downtown and go to Bamboo Hut." Ahh, the irony.
Thomas, a shy, timid 7-year-old, nervously scurried up to the front of the room and struggled through this one: "(nervously) Why...why did the, the horse cross the road? Why, Thomas!? Because he...he wanted to go to the mooooovies." Don't worry, Thomas, I get 'em confused, too.
